Over eight days, the names of the more than 148,000 service members buried at Riverside National Cemetery were read in their honor. Day and night, for 24 hours a day, their names were read.

My family and I was given the wonderful opportunity to participate on May 23rd, 2009, from about 8:45pm to 10:00pm.

About 21 people are buried there a day. It was opened in 1976.

The names are whisked away by the hot, gusting wind as soon as they are spoken, forgotten in the stream of the next name and the next name...

Oh just search for "Riverside National Cemetery Roll Call" and you'll get a bunch of articles...also, the DoD did a YouTube video on it as well.
