VetFriends.com Announces Development of Extensive Directory of Non-profit Veteran and Military Support Organizations In Time for Memorial Day
Mon May 18, 3:01 am ET

VetFriends.com continues to help U.S. veterans and military personnel and has embarked on a new project to create the most extensive online directory of non-profit organizations that support veterans, enlisted military personnel, along with their families. Non-profit military groups are invited to post their information at: http://www.vetfriends.com/links/

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) May 18, 2009 -- U.S. veteran and military men and women are the foundation of what has made America the symbol of freedom that it is today. After completing their military service, many of our veterans are in search of information and resources to help them continue their lives and grow in the community. Fortunately, thousands of non-profit organizations that support these military heroes exist, however they are dispersed throughout the Internet and may be hard to locate.

www.VetFriends.com -- the largest Web site reuniting U.S. Veterans -- is creating a nationwide online database of military non-profit organizations and companies. This free database will allow any non-profit representative to post their information, and will enable visitors to research and find non-profit services with the options of searching by specific category and military branch supported.

D.F. Sutcliffe, a U.S. veteran and founder of VetFriends.com states:

"The non-profit directory is a wonderful tool that will help our U.S. veterans and military personnel quickly search for information, services and features all in one organized location online. Moreover, the non-profit companies will have a free means of marketing and promoting their services to help reach our veterans."

This addition to VetFriends.com will provide an easy way for people to find a non-profit military organization to support, and moreover the directory will help veterans and military heroes who have given their all in service to their country.

Attention Non-profit Veteran and Military Support Groups:

In order to make this directory as beneficial as possible, VetFriends.com asks any military supporting non-profit company, organization or group to directly submit their information at: http://www.vetfriends.com/links/. Veterans, military personnel, families and friends are invited to visit the directory and browse for information and resources currently listed.

Other features available on VetFriends.com: search the member database of over 947,000 people to make contact with old service friends; Memorial Day parade listings and forums; information on how to obtain military records and medals; message boards; upload past and present photos; military jokes; reunions; military products; along with a variety of other features and services.

This Memorial Day and all year long, VetFriends.com encourages all Americans to honor and support our U.S. veterans, active and reserve military of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard -- All heroes of our nation.

Please note: A Memorial Day parade/events directory is available for people to find events in their area to show their support. The directory will highlight locations, dates and times of the Holiday's events at www.vetfriends.com/memorialparades/. Coordinators along with the community can submit and register their events at this site address as well.
