Corps to graduate 1st special ops class

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — The Marine Corps is graduating its first class of special operations troops who were trained under a new course that took a year to develop.
The Marines said 44 of the 60 individuals who entered the Marine Special Operations Individual Training Course will graduate Wednesday morning at Camp Lejeune.
A statement says the course is designed to standardize capabilities of a special operations Marine.
The Marine command was created three years ago at Camp Lejeune to add troops to the military’s ranks of troops trained in special warfare techniques. The command has approximately 2,125 members.
