I just came back from the funeral of one of my cousins. He had long term illnesses and spent the last five years in the Veteran's Home in Grand Island, Nebraska. He served in Korea during the Korean War, but as far as I know none of his health problems were service connected.
A question arose after the funeral as to how much, if anything, it cost for a veteran to live in a Vet's Home. My cousin's wife would obviously know, but she was not involved in the discussion for reasons of diplomacy. Since the Grand Island facility could be an option for me sometime in the future, I wondered if anyone has an answer.
