that helps veterans, preferably Marines, survive PTSD.
Yesterday, I had lunch with a friend who requested my support. His family is extremely close, all the siblings on both sides and their children.
His nephew is a Marine who served in the Gulf War, and had struggled with depression ever since. It seems he has been planning his demise for some time, and he recently committed suicide in Pittsburgh I believe.
I'm working on several fronts to assist my friend. One thing the family is interested in, is setting up a memorial fund to support an organization that assists veterans, preferably Marines, with PTSD issues.
If you are like me, you get PO'd when you give a little to some organization and then over the next few years they spend your donation on solicitations. The family would like to find an organization where the money supports the veterans/Marines.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
