I was discharged in 2004 with an entry level seperation which was characterized on the DD214 as a condition not a disabilty. Am i eligable to reenlist into any branch of service? If so how? <br />

SAM....I was disc. for hardship reasons. My wife, at the time, slit her wrists, and the Red Cross stepped in to hurry my disc. I guess that's why I was pushed out of Orlando N.T.C. Hosp., still on cruthces! I AM a blonde! Don't understand some of the stuff on my DD214....40 years LATER!!! Should have dumped that wife, and volunt. for F.M.F.....AGAIN!! VERY difficult times...for me......DOC

A sad fact is that many administrators and clerks don't completely understand the various codes applied to the DD-214 and what they truly mean....honestly I never knew there were more codes...

If you have a 3P code then you should attempt to PM SSgt Ramsey or SSgt Petzold.

I did receive a PM, and responded...

When RE-3P is assigned, the Marine is supposed to sign a Pg 11 entry stating what the physical problem is and that it must be resolved before further service is granted. Tha's not optional as per the MarCorSepsMan, at least it wasn't when I was a CRS and left in July 2007.

RE-3P by definition means not physically qualified. This may or may not be a disability.

Pseudofolliculilitis (not being able to shave due to bumps) is actually one of them and will preclude your reenlistment as not eligible. Shin splints is another common one I seen, and a host of psychological issues I won't even get into.

I got out in Aug of 1970 and all my 214 says is RE-1. No letters.
I do remember they offered my everything under the sun, but the one thing I wanted, a transfer, I couldn't get it.

Well first of off you should fill out a profile, second if you are not a Marine, and never earned the Eagle, Globe and Anchor as you say then you are not a Marine. The reason I say this is because...
