Lejeune set for Marine South
JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Get ready to ogle.
Marine South is coming to Camp Lejeune, N.C., next week. The annual expo, scheduled for April 22-23 at Goettge Memorial Field House, showcases the newest and coolest gadgets, including small arms, crew-served weapons, indirect fire weapons, fire support coordination equipment, ground and air navigation systems, unmanned ground and air vehicles, and other equipment developed by the defense industry.
The expo will feature equipment and systems used in ground and air combat, according to a Marine Military Expositions news release. Each item to be displayed is geared toward the “overall fighting capabilities of the fast-moving, forward-located Marine expeditionary air-ground task forces now engaged, or poised to engage, in quick-strike or long-term combat operations,” according to the release.
