Yeah she sings terrifically.
But the media and show's take on this is repugnant.

It wasn't just about her singing my Bonehead Brother. Be honest, you thought the same thing everybody else did when she walked out on stage..........................this is going to be a joke, right? IF you had ever seen Les Miserables, you would know that SHE could have played the part herself because she hit the song dead on AND sounded good. Made me smile.
(OH GOD! Does this mean I'm going soft? naaaaaaaaaah)

You're right, she is fantastic and I guessed by her "hero statement" she would be more operatic than anything. An Emmy Rossum she is not (in looks) but, I've seen more than a few homely ladies sing their pants off.
I find the fact that she's older and doesn't have her own career (no matter how small) is more telling than anything.
Dont' mean to be so negative in your thread. Certain things irritate me.
She really is fantastic.
