My last IST was:
1.5 mile: 9:03 (Best was 8:30)
101 Crunches
18 Pull-ups (Best is 19)

I've got another IST (30-day pre-ship next Saturday)

Hoping to get that last pull-up in, and hopefully a few more besides just that
Same with my crunches.

My IST on receiving week was:

PU: 3
Crunches: 55
1.5 mile: 13:25

My final PFT was:

PU: 9 (I did my 9th pull up four times. My counter hated me.)
Crunches: 95
3 mile: 24:00.

I didn't put out nearly as much as I ought to have but I also had no problems with any portion of recruit training. The most "difficult" portions for most people were definitely the humps but being 6'1 180 is a huge advantage when it comes to managing the main pack. The little guys got slaughtered, especially on the Reaper.

Mile and a half: 13:45 ( Ive been busting my ass, I started at around 16 min. Never a strong runner.)

We're aiming for better than:

- 2 Pull Ups
- 35 Sit Ups (2 minutes)
- 1.5 Mile Run - 13:30

Right? Or has that changed?

Haven't done the whole IST because of various things (weather, sports, cancellations) that and it seems like our RSS gets screwed on a lot of things

Chin Ups - 11 (I think I can get 15 now)
Crunches - 84
1.5 mile - A little over 10mins last time, but I am aiming for a 9:30ish next time.

Working out and track will help me increase a lot because during the winter it was hard to do anything while shoveling snow every day.

well bro you know you should be aiming for the best. thats 9 minutes but it wouldn't kill to get a better run time then that even. :marine:

26 Crunches? Are you doing them everyday? Work on them every day...

"Not that i should be, but I'll start now.."

How else are you going to show improvement if you aren't training every day?

I do 200 crunches every morning... If you can only do 26... you need to be doing training sets of them... do them until you fail... rest a few minutes and do another set until you fail... every day... you have a month to get yourself unf*cked...

Get to it...

You should take what Cpl. says seriously. He has been through boot camp so he knows what they are expecting.

Oh ya, of course I am aiming for the best. The 9:30 run time is just a temporary goal since we are still getting out of the winter phase (I live in Maine) and I am getting back into my running mode. Goal for boot camp is 8:30 1.5mile time and I can be able to do that because if I can run that going up hill then I will be all set on flat ground.

Guys, noticing a lot of low crunch scores, btw the Marine Corps does crunches not sit-ups, keep your feet as close to your butt as possible and breath out when going up and in when going down, I added like 20 to mine when I got the breathing down and started getting my feet closer.

I've been going to the gym 3x a week plus PT on Wednesdays.

I ship out in a week. I wish I could have gotten my times down and numbers up before shipping. I have to admit though, I started out at 4 pull-ups, unknown crunches and not being able to complete a mile without stopping.
