DOVER, Del. — The family of a Marine killed in Afghanistan is allowing the media to cover the return of his body to the military mortuary at Dover Air Force Base.

The body of Lance Cpl. Blaise A. Oleski, of Rome, N.Y., was scheduled to arrive at the Delaware military base Thursday evening.

Military officials say Oleski was killed in Afghanistan while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. Details regarding his death were not immediately available.

A new Pentagon policy allows families of servicemen killed overseas to decide whether to allow media coverage of the return of their loved ones. Under that policy the military allowed the media to document the return of an Air Force staff sergeant and an Army specialist earlier this week.
