I've recently been turned-on to this group of civilians and Veteran's from across the country and I must say I'm impressed.
These men and women are mostly bikers, but many ride vehicles in support of their cause.
Basically, they provide a patriotic guard and shield for fallen servicemembers to protect the families from the protestors and to ensure that the ceremony is conducted with dignity, honor, and respect that they deserve as our fallen hero's. They do this all non-violently. Many of the members are parents and spouses of those fallen.

I signed up with them yesterday with the capitol-region riders here in Virginia. It's the very least I can do. While I have breath in my lungs and life in my heart, no servicemembers funeral is going to be tarnished by a group of idiots protesting the war.
Here is a song a independent song-writer made on this topic after a funeral in Maine was met with protestors. That hit home for me as I'm originally from Maine.
