'Fight' goes to DVD

There was a time during post-production when the makers of "Reserved to Fight" didn't know whether the film would ever be finished. Now it's been nationally televised and, earlier this week, made available on DVD.
"Reserved to Fight," directed by Brigham Young University film student Chantelle Squires, tells about four Marines, reservists with Utah-based Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines, who fought in Iraq.

"These guys come home to a society where their peers have no concept of what they've been through," Squires said in a 2006 interview with the Herald.

In addition to footage not shown on television, the DVD includes information about contributing to programs for veterans. The filmmakers also have pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from all DVD and soundtrack sales to the Voice For Veterans Outreach Program.

The DVD is available for purchase online at www.reservedtofight.com.
