Question about enlisting in DEP under an open contract....

Ok so this is the thing, I want to be an MP. My Recruiter says there are no MP jobs availible right now but if I enlist in the DEP then when some MP jobs open up he can make sure that I'll be assigned to one. How accurate it this?... I'd love to start training with them and learning more and whatnot, but I also want to make sure that I know for sure that I'm going to be an MP or that he can get me an MP position and not just ship me off to be a cook or something like that. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks.

You can sign into a DEP contract and determine your job before you ship. If you don't get the job you want, you are not obligated to ship. The contract you sign on the day you ship will be the final and legally obligating version.
