On March 5, 2009 Congressman John Murtha was awarded the Department of the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award by the Secretary of the Navy, Donald C. Winter.

No doubt Murtha fulfilled his service obligation with distinction, however since he "went" to Washington he has done nothing else but hurl venomous attacks on our military (and even on some of his constituents). It would appear as though he has gone totally berserk. In any event, the following web site is being utilized to petition the Navy Department to rescind this un-deserved award (it's too bad the good folks in his part of PA "re-elected" this jerk).

Please sign the petition to have Murtha's medal rescinded.
