I work in the chemical industry. And when ever we handle any flammables cell phones are a no-no. When ever we get in bulk shippments we tell them at the gate that all cell phones and pagers are to be off.There has been cases where if conditions are right ,someone offloading a bulk shippment of flammable material has gotten a page or a phone call and BOOOM!!!
So needless to say we never use them . I know when ever I am at the pump...mine is off.But you know what really amazes me is the people that smoke while pumping gas with a big sticker right in front of them telling them no smoking!!!!!!

Goes to show the ignorance in the world. Well they better
be careful or else they WON'T be telling the story about how
they use to smoke at the gas pump.
