Anyone here ever host their own birthday celebration? I attended one with a BM1 Mavis (VN USMC vet) on Nantucket and for a small island it attracted a good size crowd.
Then, as a Marshal in RI, a fellow deputy (former RECON) and I did it for a couple of years. This after we were invited to our first official ball as Marshals. Not for nothing, but it was a bit stiff since there were many officers in attendance. I think they came from the war colledge.
So my buddy came up with the idea and worked on getting all the paraphanalia together, I only did the leg work. He did an excellent job and we must of had half the vets in the state attend. Even a WW2 vet or two, some of it gets hazy.
Just curious how many have done this since transferring to the 1ST Civ. Div. :flag:
