400 Hawaii Marines, sailors return from Iraq

HONOLULU — Nearly 400 Hawaii-based Marines and sailors returned home Wednesday, ending a seven-month deployment to Iraq.
The members of the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment were assigned to Fallujah, where they helped train Iraqi police and the Iraqi army.
The troops constituted the final contingent of the returning battalion. About 350 came home Tuesday after 350 arrived Sunday.
