This is meant to be a fun little discussion. Which country do you think needs to be straightened out by the finest fighting force in the world?

I'll agree with you that North Korea needs to get their @ss whooped. But I feel that Mexico is the country that needs to be dealt with right now. The government in Mexico doesn't have contol over their own military and is being run by drug lords...and it's taking American lives here in the states.

Violence of this kind is common in Mexico where drug cartel abductions and executions are a daily feature of a raging drug war that claimed 6,000 lives south of the border last year. But U.S. authorities now fear that violent crime is beginning to bleed over the porous Mexico border and take hold here. "The fight in Mexico is about domination of the smuggling corridors and those corridors don't stop at the border," Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard said.
Execution style murders, violent home invasions, and a spiraling kidnap rate in Phoenix -- where police reported an average of one abduction a day last year linked to Mexican crime -- are not the only examples along the border.......a top member of a Phoenix police union announced that the suspects were active members of the Mexican Army hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and murders.
Phoenix Police Enforcement President Mark Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition. Click Here to listen to the entire interview.

addicts start to either die from going cold turkey, or the sober up and do something with their lives.
and we can make Mexico a place where it isn't cheaper to have factories and we can cancel NAFTA which would also put their farmers back to work growing corn... and would bring industry back to American soil... or United States Soil....

I will also say Mexico along with what has already been mentioned it would secure our borders, thus preventing more terrorists from getting in.

the only problem with Mexico is that people think we help "steal" the current election, and we'd need to work UNDER the command of the mexican military/government to make it work... otherwise we're just throwing out weight around as if we know best... that's why we are not loved around the world.

Whereas being controlled by the communist party could easily be mistaken for being in a union, I don't think anyone is volunteering to be shop steward and start making complaints about being paid $0.25 per day. As to not being 3rd/2nd world, outside of the major cities you are pretty much back in the dark ages (or at best the early part of the 20th century). The russians were a world power too and still not a first world nation.

China's union is nothing like the unions you see here. Most companies in Japan are union also, however they are drastically different.
As for China being not a 3rd world I would agree for about 20% of the country, believe me once you leave Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and pass the "economic" internal borders you are in third world territory, this is the other 80% of the country.
that's the difference between being apart of the party and being an individual.
that's what makes chinese communisim work... they have so many people who are willing to participate that they don't have to worry about much as far as labor.
russia on the other had forced people to do certain jobs so the jobs were sub-standard in most cases... such as doctors.

I know the conditions in china, I'm not naive. they truely don't have to worry about labor in the sense that russia did... that's why I used russia as a opposing communist state.
china is evil and they break human rights every day, yet America wants it teddy bears so they don't care.
many of those people "willing" to work in such conditions are doing so to get out of the BFC town they grew up in... hoping for something better.
that's why communism doesn't work, neither does facisim... but Americans either want one or the other... they can't enjoy the nice middle of the road we aim for.

We're not aiming for the middle, even when our points converge. We're skewed to either side on most issues and rarely meet in the middle. The citizenry might be centrist but our government is extreme.

The conditions you speak of are from what you read, not from what you have experienced. So there can be a bit of naiveness in anyone. There are some bad facotries there, however in general most of them are not at all below standard.

Not sure if you are referring to me or not, but leatherneck magazine did do a story on us. They were down here last summer, I wasn't here when they did it, but I know most of the Marines who were.

Actually, something like that might not be a bad idea. Especially for international gangs like MS-13, which could easily be considered terrorist organizations. Something far beyond the realm of regular law enforcement to deal with. What's more is that the majority of that gang are illegal aliens.

Crap, part of this thread is serious. We've seen increasing MS-13 activity here in the tri-state area. They came up from New Jersey and issued a challenge to the NYPD. All of the boys in blue are considered targets by these punks.
This is the result of weak border control and weaker social programs as well as the war on drugs abroad.

It's been on my "must-read" list for a while.
As for crying out, Albany is considering a repeal of the Rockefeller drug laws. How's that for balancing the budget? We spend billions a year on that war and have been losing steadily for decades.
Should be an interesting year in the state assembly.

Wow, I missed a lot. Getting back on topic, I know first hand how sh!tty the Cubans are. A new laptop won't do it justice, these commies need to understand they are f*cking with Marines. I look forward to the day when we go to war with Cuba, finish the Bay of Pigs once and for all. I'll be on the frontlines, having the time of my life.
