For the entire life of the marine corps there has been many changes. Many different people have gone through the marines and have always continued to claim their title that only 2% of america can hold. Through all the events and changes we cannot forget those of the past that have done great for the marines. While looking around i have noticed that today is Chesty Puller's birthday. Even though he is gone, may we all give him an oorah for all he did. Not for himself but for the marine corps and his brothers.:marine:

( If you haven't read the book, "Chesty" you're missing a treat! )

Just an FYI: Several of the Marines on this site served under Chesty in the Pacific and in Korea!

CB could also have said CPL Puller, one of the enlisted rank held by Lt. General Lewis B. Puller USMC aka "Chesty".
Speaking about Marine Officers.
The other day while viewing about Marine Corps history,
Lt. General Victor "The Bute" Kurlak was shown and he make mention, that he had seen these young men in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
And that they had performed with valor in all those conflicts.
It might had said everything up to now.
Especially the performance by the Marine Corps in Iraqi Freedom.

PS I think that CB meant Lt. General Puller...a distant cousin of General George Patton

Happy Belated Birthday, Sir, Where ever you are!!!!

P.S. And ugly_angel362 even though you had good initiative in doing this and I'm surprised noone else made this obvious to you. But the next time you right down our title you better G*dd*m well capitalize "Marine". I know they told you that in F**king bootcamp. Do that S**T again and see what happens, Devildog. You probally have our faithful Chesty rolling over in his grave. BE better aware of what your writing, and show pride for the title you now possess and all those that came before us and will come after we are gone.
