Teaming up for helocast
Lance Cpl. Paul D. Zellner

KIN BLUE, Okinawa (February 27, 2009) -- Helocasting is a stealthy insertion technique used by special operations groups to enter an area without being detected. The unit is flown by helicopters to the insertion point. Then, as the helicopter hovers approximately 10 feet above the water, the team exits the helicopter and swims to shore. The students had to complete two slick jumps and two jumps with a 30-pound combat pack.
