Reservist Questions (help)

Hey, I am in DEP for the Marine Corps Reserves, and am scheduled to leave June 22, 2009. How ever I am curious about "voluntary deployment" I want to deploy shortly after graduation of MOS.. Reason being is to kick start my military career. I am hopeful of a promotion out of deployment as well as some $. I also would like the service of war on my papers. My question is how would I go about doing this?? and exactly how realistic is it for me to obtain this?? I was told by my cousin (CPL in the Corps) to not speak of this with a recruiter.. He advised me to talk to an SDI at bootcamp to give me an insight. My whole plan is to complete training MOS and all and do a deployment then return to finish up on my degree so I can possibly go to OCS through reserves. BTW my MOS in the Aviation Technician field, I feel I would have a better chance getting deployed with all the chinooks flying around over there.

please give me some helpful information.
