Fallen Marine honored at
local school

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Wrestlers at Corporate Landing Middle School will honor Marine Lance Cpl. Kelly Watters on Thursday as they kick off their wrestling season.
Students felt this was the best way to pay tribute to the school's alum and former wrestler who was killed last June in Iraq.
"We were greatly saddened by the news of Kelly’s death and felt that this would be an appropriate way to let his family know that Kelly was a valued and respected member of our community and that we deeply appreciate his service to our country," the school said in a release.
As a part of the tribute, Marines will present the colors and wrestlers will wear t-shirts donated by a Marine recruiting office to honor Watters.
