My buddy was in Charlie Co. when the guy got 91. He was a rock climber too

I read an article on the guy who just hit 131. When he found himself not able to do anymore he hung by one arm, shook the other out, hung by the other arm and shook the other out. So he kept pumping them out. We tried doing it at our last PT and basically all of us got an additional 1-3 pull ups extra on our max set.

A good strategy is max out, and then change your grip. If you do them with your palms facing away from you, do as many as you can and then switch to where your palms are facing toward you. I can usually get 2 or 3 extra pull ups that way because you use different muscles depending on which way you grip the bar.
