If not, why not?

If not, I would like to suggest the hand held up with 3 (count 'em, three) fingers raised; then either just the fingers, or the entire hand from the wrist, bent down to make an M. (It's hard to make an M with just the fingers bent down. They come together, so it would probably have to be from the wrist. But even that's not too easy. Course, who ever said Jarheads do anything easy?) :D

Why not just wave?

'Cause just waving is just saying "Hi" and signifies no connection other than being friendly. I live in Texas and people don't need a reason to wave Hi.

I always that's what this was. I feel like a horse's as$ now. No wonder my in-laws get pizzed when I drive by and wave...
