Greetings Marines *whispers* and Sailors!

I am at a fork in the road and torn between two lovers. Lover #1. Latmoving to 0656 Communications from Mighty Mighty Admin. Lover # 2. Going ECP officer course with no guarantee of being a Communications Officer (open contract- ground side). I really want to get some IT experience under my belt while being in the military and there is a possibility that they will assign me to some corny officer mos :sick::sick::sick:.

Since it seems you are evaluating how this will look on your resume after the Corps, an Officer status is widely recognized and may edge out Enlisted experience among civilians. You can alwsys continue your personal education and pick up the IT skills along the way. Pay is gonna be better as well - obvious but significant to reinforce.
