Hey fellow Devil Dogs. I am stationed at Ft Lee, Virginia where I am in the Food Service Specialist MOS course. One of my fellow Marines and best friends, PFC Jacob Senn, about a month ago, started having blackouts that happened suddenly. This continued to happen for about a month. He has seen many medical specialists, Military and civilian, and they are stumped as to what is wrong with him. After tests, they have concluded that something is wrong with his brain and his heart (I cant go into too much detail since I don't know much about it and I am not a medical specialist). The terrible news is this: some of the doctors he has seen fear he may have an inoperable tumor, and if so, he could die within three months. He had the courage to tell us, the platoon, this past Friday. He is having more tests done in the coming week so they can pinpoint exactly what is wrong with him.
Senn is a great Marine and has been married for five months (right out of boot camp to the girl he has known for over 9 years). Although he is unafraid of his possible death because of his strong faith, he is overwhelmed by the fact that he may have to tell this to his wife, if the further medical tests determine what is wrong.
I myself have a strong faith in God, and if any of you do too, I implore you to pray for this Marine. I'll be sure to tell him you are all here for him.
Semper Fi and God bless.
