The wife is due in mid-June with our first child. We just found out he'd be a boy and he looks healthy so far. Today we meet with the doc again to go over some stuff. Yesterday it finally dawned on me that I was going to have a son.

Outfrickenstanding!!!

Thanks to all you Marines on here. The comraderie here is what I've been missing for a while. :flag:

Start his portfolio yesterday. Higher education and all it's books and boarding fees is a huge burden and if he really wants to go and you can't afford to send him you'll feel like a sh*tty loser.

Oh and always remember he wants to be like you, unless you quit being you.

Good Luck

Crap, we started hunting for schools over 2 months ago. The wife thought I was nuts. I told her I wasn't gonna be the only one teaching him Civics lessons.

Signed up for U-Promise and all that good trash. Lined up a job with great benefits and tax breaks for former servicemembers. Got a great credit union and we're starting to kick our creditors' asses.

Play my cards right and he may get to see me under the shadow of a campaign cover when he's 3 or 4.

Can I DEP him in now? We freaking registered all his trash already; water-wings, digi onesies, baby rucksack. I'll get the wife down to the RSS and have her sign off the paperwork now for the kid.

Congrats to you too, GSE. We'll be praying you have a strong, virile, bullet-and-bomb-proof son too.

Thanks for the support, Marines! Wouldn't expect anything less from the greatest fraternity in existence :flag:
