Marine Company To Practice Deploying Bridge

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.
Marines will practice deploying a temporary bridge to ferry tanks across Engineer Point aboard Camp Lejeune.
The 2nd Marine Logistics Group Bridge Company will employ the Improved Ribbon Bridge on Wednesday. Marines will truck the sections of the bridge to Engineer Point and unload the sections into the water from the back of the MK-18 tactical vehicle. Once in place, eight M1A1 tanks will cross it.
The exercise will ensure the Marines are able to deploy the bridge in a combat situation.
