Those shots are all before my time, but some of those squad bay pictures look very similar. Marines will be Marines.

Great pics. If you did not pay attention to the style of hair and clothing, those could be pictures taken last month. We Marines never change. Great stuff

http://imageevent.com/yarbz/jarheadtimeCool Pictures. I have several similar to the ones at Camp Schwab. Got some of them in my profile pictures. Brought back some awesome memories. Especially the picture of the steam bath in Henoko City.

Were you a crewman or mechanic?

I got out in 79, so this is close enough. Squadbays all look the same. Our civvies were jeans and silk shirts unless you went to Blacks beach below Torrey Pines.

Jeans and silk shirts - what a sight:), throw in a cowboy hat and a WWF sized belt buckle and that looks like your average boot on libo.....;)

If you were asking me... I was a crewman for most of the time in Del Mar but they moved me around a lot. The sent me to PMI School, Embarkation School and M151 (Jeep) Driving School. I ended up working as Embarkation NCO, Supply Chief, CO's Jeep Driver and Company Clerk. When I finally got to drive the AmTrac again it felt great...

That's cool as hell, AmericanJarhead. I've been thinking about lat moving to tracks, probably as a mech though.
