My son just enlisted and is trying to decide on his MOS choice, He has it narrowed down to MP (but is concerned he wont reach the age deadline) CFR aircraft fire and rescue and 2111-small arms tech and helicopter crew chief....
How dO I find out where the schools are for each and how long the schooling is for each?
Thanks for any help!

Your sons recruiter should have that information. Best bet is to call him and ask.

Try this link. It isn't an official military site, but it provides a reasonably accurate picture, plus sometimes there are links to the various schools, etc. If no links, Google can usually find the school info you need.

About dot com is likely the best place to find that information, it's a good site for sure.

stayck1...here is a link that lists all of the MOS options, where the schooling is and for how long. Hope it's what you're looking for.

I know I'm really late responding to this thread, but I have all the information you'd need on this thread (Crew Chief - MOS?):

To give you an idea of the training timeline, I had the smoothest possible schooling (no delays), and it lasted me from 01Jan through 19Oct (about 9.5 months).

MP is my first choice (ASVAB is next week). I know that for MPs it's 28 days at MCT and then 9 weeks at MP school. At least that's what I was told by my recruiter who is a former SRT MP himself.
