Another group of Marines is headed to Iraq.

More than 220 Marines From Headquarters and Service Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd MLG will depart tonight. The Marines from H & S Company serve in various roles within the command such as personnel administration, planning operations and training, public affairs, and maintenance on the command's equipment.

Another 80-plus Marines from Communications Company, CLR-27, will leave Sunday. This company provides the primary communications support for the 2nd MLG headquarters. The Marines of Communications Company perform a number of jobs that include maintaining communications equipment, creating and maintaining networks, laying and maintaining cables, and establishing and maintaining radio communications.

2nd MLG's commanding general said he is proud to take his Marines and sailors to where they are most-needed.

"I hope the families of these brave men and women will find solace in knowing their loved ones serve alongside capable and determined fellow Marines and Sailors towards the same end - accomplishing the mission and coming home, together," said Brig. Gen. Juan G. Ayala in the release. "I also hope that our families take pride in knowing that without their support we simply could not be the force we are today."
