Army eats 28-inch Politio's pizza to raise more than $300 for St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital
The Marines, Navy and Army clashed in the Polito’s Monster Pizza Challenge this afternoon.
Teams of three (instead of the usual two), one hour and one 28 inch pizza. The team that eats the most wins $250 for the charity of its choice, plus 20 percent of all sales during the contest.
It wasn’t even close. The Army polished its pie off in about 45 minutes, with about a quarter left on the other two plates.
The Army raised $305 for St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, and Polito’s owner Kevin Polito also donated $200 to Toys for Tots for the Navy and Marines.
