Marines as we all know for most of us, one of our favorite past times is drinking. I decided to post a thread to see what was your favorite drinks. Myself I am partial to Corona, IceHouse, Keystone, or Steel Reserve. Respond what your fav drink is, and pass a few rounds. I just boiled, in sugared water, some fresh cranberries. Poured the ingredients into a blender with some ice and a little over a pint of vodka. Not too shabby. I've heard of cranberry juice and vodka but never fresh cranberries, skin and all.

Im a simple man with simple tastes. I like a cold bud light or perhaps the champagne of beers the High Life. If Im drinking booze Cranberry Vodka or a Vodka Tonic. But if I want to get all fancy then Ill drink a Heineken, Rolling Rock, or Fat Tire . Good beers for the right night.

I told my friend I mixed it with coke and his response,in a heavy Albanian accent, "You drink like woman" That stuff could strip paint. I am currently on an Evan Williams (bourbon) kick. A "kick" is defined by at least a 3 month period when a certain brand or drink is my "drug of choice." Former kicks include;

Vodka Collins
7 & 7
Kirin (Japanese beer)
Southern Comfort (yes, I know)
Blue Bull (Schlitz Malt Liquor)
E club Schlitz (day before payday)
Others I can't remember (can't imagine why??)

In between, there's the ol' standbys, OE800 and good ol' Steel Reserve! Anybody remember St. Ides (another "fortified" malt liquor)? Say what you want about the malt liquors, they hit the spot for me. All the American beers taste like water to me. 1977, San Miguel was the smoothest, most thirst quenching beer I've ever had, no aftertaste. Went great with a lady in your lap on a hot Olongapo nite.

Later I bought it in the states and it tasted like crap.

My alcohol deprived brain remembers something about that.

Steer clear of Albanians bearing mayo jars full of a clear liquid. Highly dangerous and volatile. I probably told this story before but a friend of mine had a jar full of Albanian hooch... We split a shot... I mean half a shot each and were fvcked up for at least 45 minutes.

I love Bushmills' Irish Whiskey, but it don't seem to like me any more from the way it treats me the next day(specially as a back to a beer.) :cry: I fear those days are coming to an end.
