I am currently enrolled in college and I am covered by my parents health insurance. I am withdrawing from the university at the end of this semester and enlisting in the Marine Corps. Since I am still in school, I am covered by my parent's health insurance, but when I drop out, I will no longer be covered. My question is am I covered, health insurance wise, while I am in DEP or do I have to risk it and not be covered from December 19 until when ever I ship out for Parris Island?

It's not a deal breaker or anything, but it would put my parents at ease for that time period.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I don't think you'll be covered. But I'm sure there's a charity hospital that'll take you in if you need an ER.

Take your vitamins and wear a helmet. Your recruiter will babysit you and make sure you take care of yourself...

You don't get medical coverage until you stand on the yellow footprints. So, you can either get your own coverage or just take the risk.
