To: All Marines
It has come to my attention that some Marines are not reporting for duty w/ the proper attention to detail or just plain showing up looking like ****birds. There is no such thing as a "Former" Marine. You are just on extended leave. When the Navy taxis you here for duty you are to report in your Charlie uniform. It better be pressed, I better be able to see my face in the reflection of your shoes, and you better have all your ribbons and weapons badge(s). Don't forget, we have a quarterdeck up here too! Uniform while on post is Dress Blues, if you don't have a set see the First Sgt. immediatly after reporting. For those Marines assigned to escorting terrorists to Hell the duty uniform is camis, boots may be buff shined. HIGHLY buff shined. Uniform for liberty is the Charlie uniform. For you Hawaii Marines "flip-flops" are called shower shoes. The shower is the only place you can wear them.
The Old-Man sends His condolences for your losses the past few months. However they are doing just fine. Between you and me I think he got a few more tears in His eyes this time. They're a good group of kids. Always remember no matter what the hippies or your enemies tell you, He will always support you. ALWAYS! So lean back and strut!
