View Full Version : MOS pick

iamarepublican

When I enlist, I want to go sign up for infantry or artillery.
My question is, which is better?
Or do any of you Marines have a preference?
Also, a good friend of mine is a Cpl. In the Marine Corps, and hes 0352 TOW Gunner, and he loves it, and recommends I try for that.
How do I make that possible?
Ask for it when I enlist?

I looked for it, I'm not looking for 0321 or other 03's, specifically 0352.
Didn't find one thing, if you can find one, send it to me, and I'll be happily on my way.
And any information on it.
If there 24,322 other threads on here with that exact, specific MOS, I think I'd find it.

Yeah I'd say the same for sure. As for your smartass reply, you obviously suck at searching. I tried it just because I was bored and found way more. To be fair, there was no thread that says "HEY DOUCHEBAG CLICK HERE IF YOU WANT TO WASTE PEOPLE'S TIME WITH A DUMB WHAT SHOULD I BE WHEN I GROW UP QUESTION BECAUSE I HAVE NO ****ING LIFE AND CAN'T DECIDE"... :scared:

They were hidden in sneaky threads like "what should I pick" and "03xx" or "grunt vs __________" . I guess IED's are much more obvious..

iamashiathead,

How about letting your own fingers do the walking. We are not the USPS or UPS. If you want to know something someone would normally respond to a post.

This is not the first post of yours that has been disrespectful to Marines...some of your posts if I recall have been deleted or closed. I may be wrong...but I don't think so.

If you cannot behave yourself...how would like to go on a early Christmas leave....I can see who could arrange it for you!

And if you really nice instead of naughty I'll have them SEND IT TO YOU!

iamarepublican
12-06-08, 09:40 AM
Well I guess I didn't look hard enough.
Maybe I shouldve rephrased myself and say "have any of you Marines been in artillery or 0352" that was more so of what I was looking for.
I'm not going to say sorry for anything, because every time I apologize I get
"Kiss Ass, grow some balls!"
so let me rephrase what I meant..
Have any of you Marines been in artillery or 0352?

iamarepublican

I'm talking with recruiter today about it all, but Sgt. Shaw was neither artillery or infantry.
I really wanted hear some first hand experiences, so I can get an idea.
Thats why I come on here.

Nobody has a problem with you asking for info. As for me, my problem is with your smart ass attitude, whether in telling 84 off or just in running your ignorant suck. You DO have a history of disrespectful or just plain ANNOYING posts, and that's just in the last few months. These are just some of the highlights-you're better at using the search function, so you can find the rest...

Thanks, Marine, I feel like I am getting the hang out of it now.
Maybe, just maybe, I wont feel like I am getting schooled by my recruiter over the internet.
This is one hell of a place, isn't it?
You Marines can school these poolees all day, and they can't say sh*t but "Aye,Aye,Sir"
or suck up and kiss ass, I admit, I have done it myself a few times.
It isn't even so much obligation to, more so "these are Marines, try not kiss ass, but don't sound like a punk ass kid either"

Even if I was a Marine I wouldn't say that.
Unless I had good reason to.

I don't see it.
I wasn't trying to be disrespectful, you just took it that way.
I wasn't try to implicate that I was telling any Marine off.
The things I say can be taken in that context if so you so choose to take it that way. I can't argue with you, your a Marine and I'm a civilian.
Right now you probably think I'm being disrespectful, but Im just telling you the truth, I'll delete my account, and I wont get back on until either I enlist or just learn to be more intact with a respectful nature.
Sorry if you took as me being disrespectful, by all means I wasn't, I don't know what else to say but, if you don't want me on here. How do i delete my account?

Don't go gettin' dramatic on me. And you sure as hell can argue with me-just be ready to go the distance! ;)

Seriously, don't get all huffy and delete anything-just slow down and think about what you're saying. Do you know why boots get fvcked with every time they open their mouths? To teach them to think before they speak. You'll be fine, just look over your posts and think about how they could be taken wrong by people who have sacrificed much to get where they are. You obviously have the gumption and stubborn potential to be one hell of a Marine. Just buckle down and focus on channeling that energy. Tact or the lack thereof will separate you from your peers. :usmc:

Well, unless it politics, but thats a whole different scenario.
If you want to argue about that, are you willing to go the distance?;)

Also thanks, again, I dont try to be stubborn, but ill take it as a compliment, and leave it at that.:D

Now, what should i do about this thread, leave it as is or whip it into shape and get the ball rolling on the important questions or replies you Marines want to give me?

This ain't the kind of question Marines are going to be able to answer for you. Whether we like or hate our jobs is 100% irrelevant to you. We are different people serving in different eras. If you were to be a grunt, you would already know. Just leave it be.

NO,NO,NO,NO.
No disrespect to the Army, but every time they come to my school.
The first thing thats comes out of there mouth is "MONEY!"
Thats all I hear, all day every time they come.
Personally I'm tired of hearing about it. Signing bonuses, job money, money, money, money, money, money. Thats not enough motivation for me.
Sorry, no thanks, NOARMYSTRONG!

All I said was they kept offering me money!
I'm not into money! I have money. Theres a lot more that I'm looking for in the service.
Believe me, I don't talk ****. Unless I am FULLY aware of whats going on.

There's your flashing red light kid. I'm not going to look up $h!t for you much less deliver it to you - I already have my Title!

One thing you'll learn about us. When we have an enquiring mind about something, we will usually take the initiative to READ (which is something you have to sit very still to do) something about it and then ask questions about what we've read. NOBODY in here can tell you what you will be doing on a daily basis - things will change from day to day. You might be playing with tanks one day and cleaning that b!tch for the next 2 - YOU WILL NOT KNOW UNTIL YOU GET THERE! You check into a unit with your attitude and SOMEBODY will make damned sure you get every little $h!t detail that comes along.

The reason you get ragged on is you run your mouth disrespectfully more than the French army runs from a fight and that is a helluva allot.

Keep your mouth shut and read and learn unless you have a specific question to pose as the good SGT. stated.

One of your problems is that you can turn a serious question into a pizzing contest and I guarantee you will not win.

The Marines on this site come in and volunteer the time to answer the questions...you need to do your part .....
