G Co 2106 11 years ago, day before Thanksgiving for me too. 10 days of leave and back to Lejeune for MCT. It was freezing cold but on the plus side we got out of there earlier before Christmas. Not that it mattered for me, I was checking in for MOS school on Christmas Eve.

Just Graduated? WTF are these Marine in Service Alphas? Doesn't everyone now wear Blues at Graduation? This smells.

My kid graduated PI last year in Alpha's. He said they SDI said the next graduating class would be issued blues. They weren't. I bought his and he was married in them, just like his old man almost 27 years ago.

Pass AND review? Wasn't it Pass in review?

When we graduted in 89 we wore the alphas, ****cutters and black gloves for graduation. It was cold as hell.

Congrats on graduating. I went to San Diego so don't know how PI graduations work. It surely appears to me that the second platoon in pass in review is a platoon of females. So much has changed that I would like you to enlighten me about some of the details of the pictures.

Gunner 0313, can't say I did. I was a CBTENG. Spent most of my time clearing the airport of ordinance.

......Those big azz willow trees - our DI's used to park the platoon right underneath them and then leave us at the POA and dare us to scratch. The sand fleas were all over those trees, and in-and-around the ground beneath them. Mother focker, that sucked.

Congrats, Marine - Semper Fi

Notice the new platoon with rolled up trouser legs and not boot-bands....

I just got the scoop straight from Parris Island. Service Alphas are the Uniform of the Day in cold weather during Graduation Cermonies.

Congratulations Biggs! Semper Fi Marine :usmc:

There are actually two in blues - looks like the guide from each platoon. In the third platoon there is one in blues, but the DI is blocking most of her.

Ok we have nailed the fact that the two platoons to the rear have wide hips and tits, and that the graduation uniform of the day is alphas. What the heck is that guy standing next to the ropes doing?

When I Graduated in 75 only the platoon "Honorman" was awarded and wore dress blues for the graduation creremony. We were not issued blues and if we wanted a set we had to buy them ourselves after we graduated. I never got enough money together to afford a set.

That's actually me in the blues in this pic. 4th Bn November Company Honor Grad.

The Marine standing to the side is probably Lead Series Guide. After they passed the reviewing "stand," the Series Guides executed a right flank and stood to the side. Not sure if they got back with the platoon before dismissal though...
