This website has the rating criteria both the VA and the Military uses to rate disablities. Use this to idenify the symptoms the VA Regional Office and the Medical Boards use to rate a disablity. If it is not in the criteria, It won't be considered. Therefore, medical records need to match the criteria listed.

Sarge....last November, I sat down with my V.A. Rep. He was kind enough to give me a copy of the guidelines, that are used to determine percent of disability. He went through my last appeal paperwork, and pointed out specific circumstances, that qualify a Vet, for specific Disability Ratings. A Vet, has to have a low GAF score, a detailed description, of his symptoms, and a Prognosis Statement, from his Dr. Especially, if applying for an increase in percentage, as a result of the worsening of his symptoms, and circumstances, resulting from a P.T.S.D. diagnosis. I thought it was pretty good advice....received my 100%, P&T rating, on December 27th, 2008! My very best to anyone applying for claim, or appeal!!.....SEMPER FI......Doc Greek
