They had another spot open in January, and it was offered to me. If I wasn't in school I would take it without a second thought, but since I'm here and doing pretty good, I figured I might as well finish out the semester....and yes, we need a group

Ok, I just wrote this, but it didn't go through. Try two.

I was talking to a friend this evening who just became a Lance Corporal (congrats!), and she told me a few things...

1. Did you know we're going to be in Papa Company? Our projected graduation date is April 10. You can see where I got this information at this site, here:

2. Because we arrive on a Monday, we're on something called "A Side". Now, I don't really understand what that is, or even if it's a big deal, but apparently it means our platoon number will be an even number between 400 and 4040. I guess it doesn't matter, but still. Info is info.

3. When she went to bootcamp, girls were allowed to keep things such as small black plastic combs, hair gel, bobby pins, and hair ties. They were put into brown paper bags and redistributed at a later time. This information does go against DrillInstructor's list of acceptable items to take, BUT I would rather have my stuff taken than wish that I had brought it.

The time is drawing near. Stay motivated!
