Camp Lejeune Marines Deploying

Nearly 1,000 Marines and Sailors will deploy from Camp Lejeune this week.
Elements of Third Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment will deploy this Thursday in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The battalion's Marines and Sailors will serve as the ground combat element of a Marine air-ground task force created to replace the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Twentynine Palms, California-based 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine regiment.
