As many of our brethren are pulled from their families and loved ones taking care of business in a fashion that only a Marine could understand. We here at home face many battles. I remember everyday the oath that I took on that fateful day that landed me upon the yellow footprints of my predecessors full of fear. Then a few months later, marching across that parade field full of nothing but pride. I always make sure that I tell my mom...Happy Birthday, for she was a Marine before me, and I am proud to follow in her footsteps.
