Congradulations and welcome, MARINE.

What platoon? I know your Kilo Co., since I'm here working at Parris Island as a "Broken" Marine. My friend from high school was in 3097, saw him at the 7day store with his parents as I was buying my regular coffee, lol.

PFC, what is the first week of bootcamp like what physical test do they do on you is it the same physical screening that they do at meps, or is it more intense or less? is there a moment of truth and what is that like?

It's just shots, dental and eye exams during recieving, and an IST on Saturday.

And PFC Hemby was my Ops in NJROTC/Drinking friend lol.

All major physical tests were at MEPS, you never have to do those again between becoming a Marine. They don't check for hernia's, or anything like that, just dental, blood pressure, eye exam, and like 6 shots. They don't even do a thorough dental exam either, it's just an x-ray.
My IST was on a Friday I think, since DI pickup is Saturday. Don't worry about receiving, it will just seem like the longest week in your life though.

Our moment of truth at SD was hell. We were in a room for 2 or 3 hours with the heat cranked up running on absolutely no sleep...that was by far the worst day of my life at boot camp, receiving is the most depressing week but it only gets better from there

congrats on becoming a Marine.
when the pft is performed do you run on a track or on
a drawn out course, what were you pull ups and run time
before you went to recruit training, if there were was one thing you wish
you did more of before boot camp what would it have been, and finally what are the qualifications of cws- 2. I hope that was not to many questions

The PFT is run is on a drawn out course, at least it is at SD. Qualifications for CWS-2 are a 50 meter swim with a flak and kevlar and then a 25 meter buddy drag
