Items to be collected for Marines
CHINCOTEAGUE -- Thursday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Harley Davidson of Ocean City and the Delmarva Hog Chapter will be showing a custom Harley Davidson at Mr. Baldy's Resturant in support of our Marines in Iraq.
They will be collecting items requested by Marines currently stationed in Ramadi, Iraq.
The Top 10 requested items are:
1 - Cans of Air Duster. (Cleans weapons, computers, equipment, anything);
2 - Body Wash. (They can get it, but it sells out quickly);
3 - Batteries. (Marines never have enough batteries. Double A's, D-cells, and the little Surefire Lithium batteries);
4 - Jerky. (Keeps you awake on convoy and fights off the munchies);
5 - Candies. (Non-melting, such as Mike and Ikes, Jolly Ranchers, Jawbreakers, etc. Same job as Jerky, but with a sugary kick);
6 - Deodorant. (Same as body wash, hard to find);
7 - New magazines. (Everything they have is two or three months old).
They are also looking for addresses for soldiers who are over there, as well. Remember, packages need to sent to solid address, not just a general address.
