Here is a video of my step-son and how he was thanked for his three purple hearts. He may be Army but he is my Hero. Semper Fi SSgt Craig Showers.

Great story! You step son was still professional and courteous, some Marine Spirit must have rubbed off on him!

You step son was still professional and courteous, some Marine Spirit must have rubbed off on him!I kid him whenever I talk to him that he only did one thing wrong in his military career, and that is, he didn't enlist in the Corps. LOL Very proud of him to say the least. His Grandfather is a 20 year, Vietnam vet with two PHs Marine. He is so proud of his Grandson, but understands his not wanting to be recognized for his P.H.s. Just his accomplishments. He is leaving the Army to attend collge under a ROTC scholorship. He wants to come back to the Army as an officer. His dedication to his career choice is awesome. Sounds like Marine blood to me. SF

The Link below will take you to my step-sons news article when he recieved his three Purple Hearts which he earned in Afganistan in an 8 day period. The first two within 20 minutes of each other in two different IED attacks on the ASV he was in. SF
