SOI info

Hello all I am back with more questions for my brother, he finally sent me another letter and he has asked me to get what info I can on SOI so he knows what to expect after MCRD PI. I am just asking what can he expect at Camp Gieger (spelling?)? I know he probably just needs to be worrying about the rest of boot but I promised I would ask. So, any information on how SOI will compare to boot would be nice from the old 0300s. Thank you very much for your time.

SOI is physically harder then Boot Camp. The big thing between SOI and boot camp is that your a Marine in SOI instead of a piece of garbage recruit like in boot camp. You can have cell phones and all that good stuff in SOI as well as weekends off and off base liberty. Tell your bro...life get's much better after boot camp...Most recruits mistake boot camp as what they will have to endure for there whole time in the Marine Corps. It's really not that way so tell him he has nothing to worry about.
