Cabbage Patch pols

Cabbage Patch Kids, those cuddly dimpled dolls that were the craze in the '80s, are taking on a new persona. Custom-made, one-of-a-kind Cabbage Patch Kids resembling presidential candidates Sen. Barack Obama, Sen. John McCain and their running mates, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Joe Biden, are being auctioned off on eBay to benefit the Marines' Toys for Tots Foundation.

The Palin doll is dressed in a red suit complete with glasses and high heels. The Biden, McCain and Obama dolls are dressed in business suits. And of course, each is wearing an American flag lapel pin. As of Thursday afternoon, the first day of the auction, bidding on the Palin doll was up to $2,425. McCain's was at $1,025, followed by Obama at $810 and Biden at $600. The auction closes at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Election Day. Details: www.ebay.com.
