I'm liking the benefits of this new GI Bill, but I hate how I paid an additional $600 on top of the $1200 but won't get any additional benefits for that contribution. From what I understand there is no more $1200 contribution required, which I don't mind since that was 5 years ago and there was nothing about this. I contributed the additional $600 the last year of my enlistment because I knew that there was no way in hell that the GI Bill was going to cover all my expenses at college.
