So I am offically a Cpl select. Getting promoted on the first. Congrats to me. I am very excited to have a new challenge.:marine:

Hey, congrats, Marine.
Let me tell you what. Get yourself on Cpls Course as soon as you can. FIGHT for a spot on that. You'll learn so much.
Learn your NCO creed BEFORE you get promoted. Break it down and examine each part of it.
If you find yourself with no work to do, you will NEVER be wrong if you take your down time to take care of your Marines.
The amount of responsability you're about to take upon your shoulders is great. You must have proven yourself to earn it: bear it with pride.
I'm proud of you, Marine. Do great things. A Cpl can have as MUCH power and authority as he/she wants within his/her shop/section -- it just depends on how much you're willing to take and how effectively you do so.
