I am enlisted in the DEP, and I leave Jun 22nd. My MOS is 5811. I go to boot camp for 12 weeks, right? Then I have 10 days leave before infantry training? How long is that? Do I get leave between infantry training and MP school? What comes after MP school? Do I get leave after MP school?

You're talking about MCT. They seem to like to change the length of MCT from time to time but three weeks (give or take) seems to be pretty routine.

How do you know you're going to MP school? Unless you're enlisting as a reservist there is no promise you're going to MP school. You could be assigned to any MOS in the field you choose.

MCT is 23 days. A couple hours after graduation you will bored a bus to the airport to report to MOS school.

You are concerned about your leave time. Do you have obligations at home? Let us know and we can suggest plans of action.

If you joined the Marine Corps I highly doubt you would be THIS much concerned about leave time. After all you are joining knowing the fact that you will be away for many months at a time without seeing family. You earn 2.5 leave days at the end of every month for a total of 30 days per year. Holidays depending on your unit will give you a 72, 48 ectt. You can earn a total of 60 days before you have to sell back to the Marine Corps those days or burn them up. Now according to new regulations you may have up to 90 days (Don't quote me on this) but those days can only extend past the initial 60 days if you are deployed to the extent where you are unable to take the leave days. Hope that answers your leave questions.

Leave really adds up without you noticing you haven't taken time off. I've been in for 3 years and I have 60 days of leave as of 1 Oct. Yes it seems like its about time to take some time off, but in the last couple of years it didn't really seem like I was missing much as far as time off.
