I go up for FFL selection January 17th. If I do not make it, I will be enlisting in the Corps. Considering DEP so that I can go in immediately if/when I return to the US. My question is, if I came back and enlisted, would having had applied to the Legion cause any sort of issue with the Marines? I didn't want to mention it to my recruiter, in the case that it would be a problem. Not like I'm doing anything illegal, but I see how this sort of thing could be frowned upon.

Just one of those things... After hearing about it and doing some research, I knew that if I didn't at least go over there and try my damnedest I would regret it the rest of my life.

At least if it is this guy did his research, his favorite Marine was in the FFL in the 80s.
